Accidents involving commercial trucks are often devastating, resulting in significant property damage and severe injuries among occupants of the other vehicle. On December 8, a collision between a tractor-trailer and another vehicle in Fort Worth resulted in the loss of a man’s life, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.

Police officials reported the accident happened before 6 a.m. on Interstate 35W near Basswood Boulevard.

The police identified the deceased as 53-year-old Douglas Cusson. He was declared dead at the scene after the crash, although the police did not give any specific details about the crash itself. Two other unidentified individuals received medical treatment at the scene of the accident.

Police authorities then temporarily closed the southbound lanes near Basswood to public use for over four hours while they conducted an investigation into the incident.
