College station three car crash injures one

A three-vehicle pileup in Brazos County on July 9 left one man injured and closed down traffic for more than three hours, The Eagle reported.

According to Lieutenant Chuck Fleeger, an 18-wheeler, a sport utility vehicle, and a pickup truck were all traveling northbound toward Barron Road after 1:00 p.m. when the semi-truck slowed down due to traffic. The SUV slowed down just behind it, but the pickup truck did not register this in time. The SUV driver attempted to swerve out of the way when it became apparent that the pickup truck was not stopping, and the pickup ended up hitting both the SUV and the semi-truck.

The pickup truck driver, a 22-year-old San Antonio man, was taken to the hospital for injuries.
